The fear of rejection is a big reason why it’s difficult to get rid of shyness from your being. Think about all the moments in the past that has made you feel the fear of being humiliated, getting rejected, and most importantly, being disappointed when you went for the things you wanted most. In the last post, I mentioned that in order to get rid of shyness, you need to understand that it’s based off of emotion, not logic. How easy do you think it would be if someone said, “this is what I’m suppose to do” and go for it no matter how many times they failed. The problem may not even be failure but the possibility of failing. Gaining confidence in certain areas of you life helps you overcome no self confidence in that specific area of your life.
When you want to get rid of shyness, there are a few things you need to get over
1. Fear of rejection
2. Fear of failure
3. Fear of the unknown
There are more out there but these are the most common. Once you override your emotions and fears and do what needs to be done, then you’re on your way to becoming a person who gets what they want. Getting what you want is an amazing feeling. Your confidence overflows and it flows on to others. Pretty soon you’ll help people overcome their shyness. You’ll think back to when you felt the fear, and now you’re above and beyond it.
To get rid of shyness, you must be very patient and take baby steps. This is where the challenge lies. You want to be confident right now and get over the fear already. When you open your mind to the possibilities that are out there for you, you get impatient and pretty soon you’ll get disappointed because you’re still stuck in your ways. When you add patience and gradual work into the mix, you’ll notice your success start to accelerate faster, even though you’re not going at a fast pace. Within a few months you’ll surprise yourself of how long you’ve come in such a short period of time.
In closing, I would like to say that the fear of rejection is all in your head. There is a way for you to overcome this dilemma and start becoming a person with massive confidence no matter how much fear you have at the present moment. Don’t let the fear of rejection keep you back from getting what you want.
you have already taken the first step . by acnknwledgiog a problem much the same as an alcoholic or drug user. you have started on first step to recover. each journey will start with but a single step.. we need to try an understand reasons behind your fears. was mother or parents in a failed or strained relationship? somebody close to you as a child? etc we can seek counsel;ling too and even hypnosis may help. bottom lin eis we have to face our fears in stages to learn to overcome them. each Time we back off form something it reinforces the emotions behind it and makes us weaker next time. thus you end up in a circle of fear and failure/ our subconscious wil pick up on this and the fear brings to it the flight’ situation so it urge You to flee the situation. you can overcome it as I did severe shyness many years ago. yes I am never really free of it but have good days and bad days . overall I have beaten my old foe.. myself and that is the hardest battle we all have to face. your worse enemy is yourself and you need to learn to refocus on success so you become your own best freind. fear of failure and rejection are hard . you can take each day one day at a time. think of yourself next time panic or any fretting occurs and breathe slowly , count to 10 ( it does work) and then smile. think of yourself as an actor would. playing a part to hidden cameras. we can do this . we must do this. and we want to do this.. life and time are always short do not deny yoruself. our biggets regret when we get old is to look back and say if only ‘
